Abstinence Education Changes Lives

Hello Mrs. Leslee Unruh,

I meet you after school at Elkin High School today, 9/22/05. I really enjoyed your speech. I was the one who gave you that bracelet that you liked so much.

I think that you are doing an excellent thing. And the fact that you spend your time talking to students like me. It really touches my heart to see someone who cares so much, to come out and tell us stories, both personal and informational, all to hopefully change our lives.

To tell you the truth, I was kind of dreading that assembly, but once it got started, I got into it. There was moments that were funny and we heard the whole auditorium laugh, and other times things were quiet, very emotional. Some of the stories you told really made me think. And you are right that subject is very important and serious.

I have made mistakes, some I can never change, but I will take your advice and not worry about my past, but change my future.

I just wanted to tell you how throughly I enjoyed you coming to my school today. I am a senior there, and my sister (who is a junior) and I just moved there, and now I am glad we did, we got to hear you.

Maybe sometime I can write to you and tell you about me and my mom and well more than what I told you today.

Sorry to take up your time, but maybe sometime you write back. Thank you again!
