Are you an advocate for abstinence – the practice of abstaining from sexual activity? Do you want to help spread the word about the benefits of practicing abstinence? You’ve come to the right place. The Abstinence Clearinghouse, based in Sioux Falls, SD was founded to provide a single place where programs, curricula, speakers and materials in favor of abstinence could be accessed by individuals just like you.
We are a non-profit educational organization that promotes the appreciation for and practice of sexual abstinence. We achieve this goal through distribution of age-appropriate, factual and medically-accurate materials. And we serve agencies and individuals at all levels—local, state, national and international.
Our goal is to provide the resources for abstinence advocates to spread the word and educate the community and the world. And for over two decades we’ve been doing just that. We talk to people about abstinence all over the world – but we also reach parents who struggle to discuss abstinence with their children.

Do you feel like you have been waiting for that “special someone” forever? Or maybe you have met that “special someone” and pursuing purity together is becoming more difficult? Take a moment to reflect on the extraordinary gift you will give your future spouse. By waiting to have sex until marriage you show your significant other or future spouse that they are worthy of your whole self. Waiting allows you to enter into a marriage relationship physically and mentally pure, free from the baggage of expectations or preconceived ideas about how sex “should be.”
