2020 Dirty Dozen: Amazon

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) announced that Amazon is on the 2020 Dirty Dozen List, a list of mainstream companies that are major facilitators of sexual exploitation in the United States.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Amazon has been on the Dirty Dozen List. Amazon is extraordinarily powerful in the world of sales. It is an international provider of e-commerce, logistics, data storage and media. Unfortunately, it also provides a space for sexual exploitation.

"As an online retailer, Amazon is in the business of selling incest-themed pornography, sex dolls, photography books with eroticized child nudity, pornographic magazines, and more," NCOSE released in a statement. Moreover, Amazon's media platform, Prime Video, features unnecessary and graphic sex scenes and unreliable parental controls. And Amazon's web services are a host to thousands of violent hardcore pornography and prostitution websites.
