2020 Guide to Gen Z Slang

Are you ever confused by something your teen says? Does it feel like you're missing some important piece of information or reference? You are not alone. Many parents, teachers and adults feel lost in the world of teen lingo.

This is why Axis compiled a quick glossary of terms commonly used by teens to help you understand what is being said and identify any potentially dangerous ideas being communicated so that you can address them.

While "And I oop" and "sksksksksk," are totally harmless (also indicators of a VSCO girl), you will want to watch out for "KMS", "thirsty" and "smash".
