Backlash Against Bumble For Anti-Celibacy Ads

Recently Bumble, an online dating platform, came out with an advertising campaign that disses celibacy. Some of the ads included phrases like "You know full well a vow of celibacy is not the answer" and "Thou shalt not give up on dating and become a nun."

While this is not surprising with how the dating culture is today, what is surprising is that there was a major amount backlash towards Bumble for publishing these ads. According to BBC, Bumble pulled the ads and "offered the advertising space to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, among other organizations and donated money."

While some organizations aim to diss on sexual purity until marriage, Abstinence Clearinghouse embraces abstinence and all of the benefits that come with choosing to not engage in any sexual activity until marriage.

This is why we created The Truth About Abstinence brochure. This brochure shares the benefits of abstinence, the truth about second chances and information debunking the "sex myths" of our culture.
