Establishing Quality Accountability Relationships

Having an accountability partner is a great way to deal with life challenges, staying on track with goals, creating change that lasts and implementing action plans. Choosing the right type of person to confide in and seek accountability can be difficult.

Covenant Eyes believes these four questions should be asked of oneself when choosing someone for an accountability relationship:

  • Who are the people in my life with whom I have, or could have, this kind of relationship?
  • Which of these characteristics are strongest in our relationship?
  • Which of these characteristics would require intentionality or fortify a weakness?
  • Am I willing to take the next step to begin or improve my accountability relationships?
