Last week, the Canadian Committee on Information, Privacy, and Ethics issued a report calling for online pornographers to be held liable for breaking criminal laws in Canada. The government of Canada is finally planning to hold MindGeek, PornHub's parent company, accountable for the pain and destruction they have caused in the lives of so many people.
Countless images and videos of women, men and children being raped, sexually abused and tortured are uploaded to PornHub everyday. Furthermore, PornHub has made almost no effort to remove exploitative content that is uploaded without consent.
The world is starting to pay attention! PornHub has almost 12.5 million followers on Instagram, and recently, Instagram removed PornHub from their platform. However, due to pressure from porn lobbyists, this proved to be temporary, only lasting a few hours.
