Results from the "International Sex Survey" revealed how people incorporate and rely on technology to shape their sexual experiences and habits. The international survey conducted by the Kinsey Institute and Clue (an overseas company that promotes using technology to track women's cycles) revealed 34% of Americans admit to using a mobile app to find sexual partners and 43% of 18- to 20-year-olds sext using Snapchat.
How should we react to these findings? Teens are always early adapters when it comes to technology. It is important to help students realize the habits that they are forming regarding sex and technology, especially if technology is used as a replacement for real intimacy. This is especially concerning given that 10% of visitors to porn sites are under age 10.
