The Kinsey Institute released a "study" that says:
- Virgins feel stigmatized because our culture is more accepting of sex before marriage
- The idea is that individuals who do not participate in sexual experiences are undesirable relationship partners
We couldn't disagree more! Many teens and young adults still value their own and their future spouses purity. Not all youth are buying into this sexualized culture as evidenced in such groups as Fight the New Drug, The Culture Project, Abstinence in the City and others. Parents and abstinence leaders, lets continue to stand up for our younger generations, protecting them from the sex driven culture we live in. Lets constantly be encouraging them through hope and positivity! Our children who are abstaining until marriage should not feel stigmatized, but rather use their commitment as a platform to inspire others of their pledge.
