On Monday, Planned Parenthood announced they would no longer be receiving federal funding from the Title X program. This came after the Trump administration implemented a new rule stating that any clinic receiving funding from the Title X program cannot refer women to an abortion provider. Planned Parenthood previously received $60 million annually from the program. Several states have sued, thus far unsuccessfully, against this new rule. Planned Parenthood has made it known: abortion is more valuable to their organization than $60 million in federal funding.
