Leading virtual reality corporation, THE VOID, just announced their commitment to remain a pornography free company. Their stance on pornographic content was mirrored by the company's chief visionary officer, James Jensen. "If it was about money and not about family or considering lives it would destroy, I could be a billionaire. For me, it's a solid no every time," Jensen stated.
When virtual reality headsets launched a few years ago, the porn industry was ready.
Many of the industries top virtual reality corporations gave away thousands of headsets within the first few months. The product engages "customers" in a 360 degree pornography experience where the user feels like they are in the room with the performer.
The industry expectantly waited for the financial success.
Chief creative officer, Curtis Hickman echoed Jensen saying, "Pornography does a lot of damage to society as a whole and I don't want to be the author of something like that."
The National Center of Sexual Expulsion has created a petition to thank THE VOID for its commitment to reject virtual reality porn and to encourage other companies to do the same.
